This is all new to me
Setting up a website the first time is a daunting process to those of us who are not tech savvy, so bear with me as I stumble through the process. To Quote Emerson, Lake & Palmer; "Welcome back, my friends to the show that never ends. We're so glad you could attend! Come inside! Come inside!"
I'll start with a bit of a bio. It says William R. Galbreath on my birth certificate, but to everyone other than my deceased grandmother (and annoying telemarketers) I am Bill. After a lifetime of doing lots of things I am now writing books, and as they are published I will announce them here. I will also "blog" short pieces, some humorous, some based on Biblical observations and the rest just my opinion on some subject. With permission I may also re-post someone else's blog, or at least refer you to their website.
Currently, I live in Central California. For how long remains to be seen. I have worked in radio, music instrument repair & sales, business printing & promotional products sales and an occasional gig as a musician. 19+ years were spent in the California State Defense Force (then the State Military Reserve) from which I retired as an O5 - Lieutenant Colonel. The US Army trained me in matters of Force Protection, Antiterrorism and Physical Security.
CSCB (California State College Bakersfield) granted me a degree, Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts in 1975. CSCB is now CSUB, one of the 23 state universities, and I still play in the band.
And now I am officially retired, whatever that means, and plowing into a writing career. The books I am writing are primarily Christian fiction. There's one historical novel, which remains unfinished but is getting close, a proposed series of four thrillers based on the career of an imaginary US Army officer, two are completed and two are WIPs (writer speak for works in progress), one other contemporary WIP and a collection of short pieces. All of the books are what I identify as plausible. There's no aliens from outer space, cities rising from the sea, magical artifacts/talismans or superheros. Though geared towards adults, they are all-age appropriate, no gratuitous sex or profanity and to the best of my ability, historically accurate. One of the things I want readers to come away with is the sense of, that could have happened.
